Rigostep STEP 1k Parquet Lacquer,
Water-based, single-component polyurethane floor varnish for indoor use. Ready-to-use and fast-drying. Provides ultra-matte, natural-looking protection. Suitable as a topcoat for intensive use on parquet and wooden floors.
While varnishing floors is a true craft, we don't want to make it any more complicated than it needs to be. That's why they developed STEP Parquet Varnishes. Moreover, floors finished with STEP are surprisingly easy to maintain.

--TECHNICAL INFORMATION-2-(Instructions)
FOR THE PROCESSOR:
- 1-component polyurethane parquet lacquer
- STEP Parquet Lacquer 1K can be applied directly to bare sanded oak wood (or other light types of wood).
- If necessary, first apply a STEP primer for easy, seamless working.
- SYSTEM: 3 layers of STEP Parquet Lacquer 1K or 1 layer of STEP Primer and 2 layers of STEP Parquet Lacquer 1K.
- Drying time 2-3 hours between coats of lacquer.
- If necessary, sand in between with p120 for the final coat.
FOR THE END USER:
- STEP Parquet varnishes are developed in such a way that the floor does not get a plastic-like appearance.
- Floors finished with STEP are strong and look natural.
- Floors finished with STEP are particularly easy to maintain: mopping with STEP Mild Cleaner is sufficient.
- Suitable for underfloor heating.
Instructions for use Step Parquet Lacquer,
Shake the varnish briefly and vigorously, then pour it through a sieve into a varnish tray.
Distribute the paint evenly in strips or sections.
Roll overlaps thoroughly wet on wet.
Avoid variations in layer thickness. It's important to apply the paint thoroughly. This creates better wetting and better flow, preventing streaks.
Use a microfiber paint roller with a 9-11 mm thick coat, and for edges or small parts, a full, long-haired brush (see below for related products).
Use only stainless steel or plastic tools.
