• The wood must be evenly sanded and of course clean, dry and free of wax, grease and wood dust.
• Always thoroughly clean previously oiled and/or contaminated surfaces first with ROYL Intensive Cleaner #9120. Then mop or rinse with clean water and allow the surface to dry completely.
• Always make a test area first on unknown surfaces.
• Register the batch numbers of the products used (6-digit number on the packaging).
Instructions for use,
• Shake packaging well before use.
• If necessary, add color pigment for oil and mix until a homogeneous color is achieved.
Apply according to the 3 steps below:
1. Apply ROYL Exterior Oil #4570 liberally over the surface. This is best done with the special paint rollers and brushes below. Applying it to a large, horizontal, unprofiled surface is also easy with a floor polisher fitted with a lightly abrasive pad (red, beige, or blue).
2. Let it sit for approximately 20 minutes. Apply oil to any areas that dry out. Then rub in with a lightly abrasive pad (red or beige), rubbing gently.
3. Finally, rub dry. Use the absorbent cotton cloths below. Replace saturated cloths with clean ones in a timely manner. Remember to rub the surface thoroughly, including any creases, etc. Insufficient rubbing can lead to shiny spots and dirt adhesion.
Repeat the process if the surface still shows dull, rough patches. Always wipe the entire surface thoroughly dry.
Other info,
• ROYL Oil Exterior #4570 can be optionally tinted with 24 separate oil pigments to create colors from the ROYL Color Charts, whose color codes begin with Cxx, for example, C10. The color will vary on wood types other than oak. If necessary, first test the area to check the color.
• Add up to one full color pigment sachet to one litre of ROYL Exterior Oil #4570. Shake well before using the tinted product.
• A tinted ROYL Oil Exterior #4570 provides even better protection against aging due to sunlight.
Apply a new layer every year (no need to sand again) Only in case of heavy soiling, etc.
For optimal results and protection: apply twice a year.
