For best results, your floor must be clean. Empty the room, vacuum thoroughly, and mop first with SKYLT's intensive cleaner. Always follow up with clean water. Let the surface dry thoroughly. If the floor has recently been varnished with SKYLT varnish, wait at least 16 to 24 hours before using the polish. You should also wait until the first coat is completely dry between coats of polish. Drying time is approximately 1 to 2 hours at normal room temperature (20°C) and a relative humidity of 65 percent. Always ensure adequate ventilation in the room.

Once dry, the floor is immediately walkable again. You can use SKYLT Polish #9145 immediately. The polish is resistant to water, soap, and mild cleaning agents, such as SKYLT Conditioner #9140. Its pH is 8, making it gentle on your floor. Store the bottle in a cool, dry, and frost-free place. The product has a shelf life of at least 12 months in a tightly sealed container. Once opened, the shelf life is slightly shorter, so always keep the bottle tightly sealed.

If you're using this polish on a moderately or medium-heavy-duty floor, such as a living room, hallway, or office, one maintenance session a year is often sufficient. Be sure to clean regularly with SKYLT Conditioner and deep-clean with the right products to prevent dirt buildup. Don't use this polish on heavily used floors like those in shops, restaurants, or schools—there, you'd be better off choosing a different maintenance strategy with multiple coats of varnish.

Finally, a word about waste disposal. Wet product or packaging with residue? Those should be disposed of as chemical waste. Once the polish has completely dried, you can dispose of it as residual waste. Used rollers or squeegees that have dried out can also be disposed of as residual waste. This way, you can work safely and environmentally consciously.
