SKYLT Intensive Cleaner #9150 is a powerful, professional-grade cleaner specifically developed for the thorough cleaning of wooden floors finished with SKYLT lacquer. This highly concentrated cleaning agent is ideal for periodic maintenance, but is also perfectly suited for tackling stubborn dirt, streaks, grease stains, and old polish layers. This intensive floor cleaner is not a daily cleaning product, but a technical cleaner for major cleaning jobs and preparatory treatments. Examples include degreasing a floor before applying a new lacquer or polish layer, or removing accumulated dirt and dull spots in heavily used areas of the floor.

The SKYLT Intensive Cleaner #9150 comes in a 1-liter bottle and must always be used diluted. Depending on the degree of soiling, mix 1 liter with 5 to 10 liters of cold or lukewarm water. Important: always add the water first and then the cleaner to prevent foaming. Are you working on large surfaces or do you need to remove old polish layers? Then scrubbing is the right approach. Use a single-disc machine with a beige or red pad for this. Coarser pads or brushes are not recommended, as these can cause scratches or leave an unwanted shine on the matte SKYLT paint.

For smaller or less soiled areas, mopping is sufficient. You can also treat localized stains specifically. Always work in sections of 6 to 10 square meters at a time. Apply a thin layer of soapy water using a mop or spray bottle, let it soak in for a moment but never let it dry out. Next, actively mop or scrub with plenty of soap under the pad or cloth. Work precisely, especially along the edges where polish often accumulates. Immediately remove the dirty water with a wet vacuum or lint-free cotton cloths. Afterwards, always rinse thoroughly with clean water until the rinse water remains clear. Remember to refresh the rinse water regularly and replace dirty cloths with clean ones. Finally, allow the floor to dry completely – including in the seams and crevices – before applying a new topcoat.

The SKYLT Intensive Cleaner dries within 1 to 2 hours at room temperature, depending on humidity and ventilation. As soon as the floor is dry, you can immediately proceed with, for example, SKYLT Polish or a new coat of lacquer. Does the floor still feel soft or a little sticky? Then wait at least eight hours. Important: for a new coat of lacquer, you must first sand between coats with P120 grit. This is not necessary for a new coat of polish.

This floor cleaner is intended for indoor use and is transparent in color. It covers approximately 40 square meters per liter, depending on the dilution used and the application method. Store the cleaner in a cool, dry, and tightly sealed place – but always frost-free. When used correctly, it is a reliable, effective, and safe product. Always wear protective clothing, gloves, and safety glasses during application, especially when scrubbing or using a spray bottle. Watch your walking route and protect vulnerable surfaces around you.

Do not use SKYLT Intensive Cleaner on moisture-sensitive subfloors and never use a steam cleaner when cleaning. For daily cleaning, do not use an intensive cleaner, but a mild floor cleaner. Prevent damage from sand and dirt with good doormats and protect furniture with felt pads. Do not leave spilled liquids lying around. If you follow these guidelines, you will keep your wooden floor in top condition, ready for years of use and appearance.
