Woca Exterior Wood Shield (the only colourless exterior finish),

Wood Shield produces a water- and dirt-repellent surface but preserves the patina of the wood, as it does not add color to the wood.

If left untreated, exterior wood develops a beautiful grey patina. You can now preserve this look while simultaneously protecting the wood for a long time and extending its lifespan. The solution is Exterior Wood Shield, ideal for treating untreated outdoor wooden surfaces, such as wooden garden furniture and decking. Exterior Wood Shield creates a water- and dirt-repellent surface while preserving the wood's patina, as it adds no color to the wood.

The surface must be completely dry and free of dust, dirt, and algae. If the surface is very grimy, clean it first with WOCA Exterior Wood Cleaner. For optimal protection, we recommend lightly sanding the surface afterwards so that the wood is completely smooth and pleasant to walk on.

1. Shake the container well.
2. Apply Exterior Wood Shield with a spray gun, brush, or by dipping the wood. It is important that the product is applied thoroughly and evenly. When applying with a spray gun, hold the spray nozzle approx. 10-15 cm from the surface.
3. Let the wood dry. Outdoor wood shield provides full protection only after 2-4 days.

It is a good idea to reline the surface 1-2 times a year for optimal protection. Please note: Surfaces treated with Exterior Wood Shield cannot be painted or oiled and must therefore be sanded and cleaned with WOCA Exterior Deep Cleaner before the wood is treated with WOCA Exterior Wood Oil.
