Step Polish,
Water-based polish for the periodic maintenance of floors finished with STEP (or Rigostep) Parquet Varnish. (Can also be used on other brands of water-based varnish.) Restores and extends the life of the varnish. Dust-removing, prevents dirt penetration, fills minor scratches, and masks signs of wear. Available in Matte #9190, Satin #9180, and Gloss #9170.
Formerly RigoStep Floor Polish Polymer.
Protects the paintwork and simplifies maintenance. Coverage: 60-80 m²/liter. Contents: 1 liter.
Also suitable for protecting laminate!
Note: The factory has also given this product a fresh, modern look. It was previously called Rigostep Floor Polish Polymer, and these three gloss levels now have a new name and look: Matte #9190, Satin #9180, and Gloss #9170. See further down in this text. So, the content is the same and, of course, applicable to both the old Rigostep lacquers and the new Step lacquers.
FOR THE PROCESSOR:
- For restoring and protecting varnished floors.
- Before maintenance, always clean thoroughly with STEP Intensive Cleaner #9200 .
- Apply the polish undiluted with a damp cloth.
- If necessary, apply a second layer crosswise after drying (at least 1 hour).
- Yield: 40-60 m2/l.
FOR THE END USER:
- Highly suitable for maintaining, refreshing and restoring all surfaces treated with STEP Parketlak, such as parquet and plank floors, furniture, tables and worktops.
- Depending on the load on the floor, apply STEP Polish once or twice a year or more often if necessary.
- Available in Matte #9190, Satin #9180 and Gloss #9170.
Surface and preparation for Step Polish,
• Empty the room and vacuum the floor.
• Always make a test area first on unknown surfaces.
• Note: Always clean thoroughly first with STEP Intensive Cleaner #9200 (also to prevent the build-up of too thick a polish layer, in the case of maintenance treatments).
Apply polish after,
• a STEP Intensive Cleaner #9200 treatment: after drying for at least 8 hours.
• applying a STEP Parquet Lacquer layer: 16-24 hours after drying of the last layer of lacquer.
• a first layer of STEP Polish: after drying for at least 1 hour.
Caution: Shake well before use!
Apply Step Polish,
• Apply STEP Polish undiluted using the special Polish cloth from the Opti Set below or a squeegee, a polish sleeve or a damp, wrung-out mop with a rubber squeegee.
• Distribute the polish evenly over the floor in overlapping strokes.
• Do not attempt to correct a drying polish layer.
• Always treat the entire surface to avoid differences in gloss and layer thickness.
• If necessary, apply a second coat crosswise after at least 1 hour of drying.
Important,
Sand and dirt act like sandpaper. Use entrance mats to prevent dirt from entering as much as possible.
• Do not leave spilled liquids for too long.
• Provide chairs and other furniture with protective felt pads.
• Over the years, your floor will need to be refinished. Make sure this is done promptly, and certainly before the varnish layer wears away in places.
• Repair deep scratches and damage in a timely manner where the paint layers have been completely cut through, which can be caused by a falling sharp object or by point loads.
Make sure you continue to clean your floor hygienically with the special Inovnet shown below. It's the only 99% biodegradable cleaner that also cleans hygienically and doesn't harm the floor. It can be used weekly or even daily.
For heavy soiling, first use the Strip intensive cleaner (this only needs to be done once and never again if you use the Inovnet).
