Osmo WR 4008 Aqua Wood Impregnation,

Ideal as extra protection for outdoor softwood species. A clear wood impregnation that serves as preventive protection against blue staining, insects, etc. Penetrates deep into the wood – prevents swelling and shrinkage and is extremely water-repellent with a very low odor during application and is completely odorless after drying.

Ready-to-use liquid wood preservative

Protects outdoor wood that does not come into contact with the ground (e.g. windows, shutters, doors, pergolas, wooden cladding, garden furniture, etc.).

The impregnation offers preventive protection against animal and plant damage to the wood, such as blue discoloration and insects, as well as all weather influences.
Osmo Wood Impregnation WR: Ideal as a base coat for use with water-based products (such as Osmo Opaque Stain, Single-Piece Stain, but can also be used under UV Oil, Natural Oil Stain, Patio Oil, Country House Paint), etc.

For the final finish, all Osmo products can be used; please note that this is not a standalone product! A finishing coat must therefore be applied over it, just as is the case for all other primers.

Available in 0.75 and 2.50 liters, also available in 25 liters for the professional.

Consumption is 100-150 ml per m²; from a 0.75 liter bottle we get around 10 m², and with 2.5 liters you can cover about 25 to 30 m² depending on the type of wood (pine etc. consumes slightly more).

Drying time,
Approximately 12 hours (under normal conditions, 23°C/50% RH). Ventilate well during drying. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity may extend drying times.

1L is approximately sufficient for 5 – 6 m2 in one coat.

Tips,

WR 4001 is not a wood finish and is only a base coat. A finishing product from the Osmo range is required within three months.
If possible, apply to all sides of the wood for the best protection. Wipe off the excess from the edges with a dry cloth before letting it dry.
Some applications may cause wood fibers to lift; if necessary, lightly sand to smooth the surface. Use safely. Always read the label and product information before use.

The wood surface must be clean, dry, and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).
Osmo WR 4001 is ready for use; please do not dilute. Stir well before use. Thoroughly clean old microporous stains. Old paints and varnishes must be completely removed. In general, wear a dust mask during sanding work. Reclose the packaging after use. This product must not be released into the aquatic environment, soil, or sewage system.
Protect the environment (e.g. soil, plants, aquatic environment) against splashes of Osmo WR Base Coat 4001.
Do not apply in damp conditions or when rain is imminent.

User manual Osmo WR4008,

Apply by spreading thinly and evenly along the wood grain using the special paint roller and/or brushes shown below. Number of coats required: 2-3, depending on wood type and surface characteristics.
Cover the clean, dry, and frost-free wood generously—if possible on all sides.
For best results, the product must be applied evenly. Processing temperature: 10 - 30°C.
