Osmo Terrace Oil,

Decorative, semi-matt wood protection based on natural oil for all wood outdoors. Open pores allow the wood to breathe and reduce expansion and shrinkage.
Water repellent, extremely weather and UV resistant. Bart, does not blister or flake.
Apply without sanding: a base coat is not necessary. Easy to apply without any residue. Does not dry during application. The dried finish is harmless to people, animals and plants.

Use Osmo Terrace Oil,

Osmo Terrace Oil protects and cares for wooden terraces, garden furniture and fences made of numerous coniferous and precious woods, but also pressure-impregnated wood, Pine, Douglas, Cedar, Oak or Bangkirai - also suitable for the transparent treatment of Teak, Eucalyptus or other hardwoods. Make sure the wood is clean and dry and free of algae and other deposits (this is best done with Osmo Power Gel).

Storage: 5 years longer if stored in the closed original container. If thickened by frost, store at room temperature for 24 hours before use.

Preparation,

Before treatment, allow wood with a special content of ingredients to weather (min. 4 weeks) or clean it with Osmo Brush Cleaner (degrease).
Resinous woods, such as Larch and Douglas, should be allowed to weather for at least 6 weeks.
Freshly pressure impregnated wood, Massaranduba, Garapa, Bangkirai, allow to weather for 3 months before finishing. Wood that has already turned grey, first degrey with Osmo Power Gel before treating with Osmo Terrace Oil.
The wooden surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (max. wood moisture 20%).
Osmo Terrace Oil is ready to use, do not dilute. Stir well. Clean old open pores thoroughly. Old paint and varnish layers must be completely removed. Always wear a dust mask when sanding.

If possible, apply a first coat to all sides of the wood before mounting.
If additional preventive protection against blue mold, rot and insect attack is required, treat the wood with Osmo WR Impregnation 4008 before mounting – preferably on all sides.

The finished surface has, among other things, influence of the natural characteristics and the way of application, different properties. Therefore, a test must first be done on an inconspicuous place.

Applying Osmo Terrace Oil,

Apply evenly thinly with a Floor Brush, in the direction of the wood grain. For tropical wood types, you may use a scrubbing machine with a red or beige scrub pad to scrub the oil in well. You can touch up any spots, drips and streaks etc. for up to 15 minutes.
Apply two coats, drying time between coats is 12 hours.
If a less intense colour is desired, the second layer should be colourless with the Antislip Terrace Oil. Antislip is also possible with the Osmo Anti slip Terrace Oil 430. Recommended consumption is 35ml per m².

Cleaning the tools: With Osmo Brush Cleaner (free of aromatic compounds).
Drying time: Approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C / 50% relative humidity) Ventilate well during drying.
Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can extend the drying time.

Note;
Ribbed or (sawn) rough wooden parts absorb more product.
Some woods tend to weather naturally, caused by leaching of water-soluble colored woods

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing.
When seeking medical advice, have the packaging or label at hand. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Caution: Cloths soaked with the liquid product should be washed immediately after use or stored airtight in a metal container (risk of spontaneous combustion).
The dried finish complies with DIN 4102 class B2 (normally flammable). Safety.
