Osmo Tannin Spot Remover 6602 – remove black tannin stains from wood
Osmo Tannin Spot Remover is a targeted stain remover for black discoloration caused by tannic acid reactions in wood. The ready-to-use spray is suitable for untreated and oiled wooden surfaces and is especially recommended for oak and other wood types that contain a lot of tannin.
Use the product for local treatment of, for example, a wooden floor, table, or kitchen worktop. Also suitable for untreated or oiled outdoor wood, such as oak garden furniture.

This is how you use Tannin Spot Remover

Remove loose dirt and dust.

First, test the product on an inconspicuous area to assess the effect on the wood and the finish.

Spray the black spot evenly until the discolored area is completely covered.

Leave the product on for 30–45 minutes.

Wipe it off with a lint-free cloth. Repeat the treatment if necessary and then rinse with clean water.

Allow the wood to dry completely before restoring the protective finish.
Aftercare and drying time
Allow the treated area to dry for approximately 24–48 hours before reapplying oil. This may take longer at low temperatures or in high humidity.
Then restore the protection with a suitable Osmo Maintenance Oil or Hardwax Oil, matching the existing finish.
Consumption
A 250 ml bottle is sufficient for approximately 2.5 m² in one treatment. Actual consumption depends on the wood, the severity of the discoloration, and the number of treatments required.
Points of attention
The wood may become lighter locally. A test treatment is therefore necessary. Protect metal parts and plants from direct contact with the product.
Not suitable for subsequent finishing with water-based paint, dispersion paint, PUR paint, or NC paint.
Safety: Causes serious eye damage. Wear eye or face protection and keep the product out of reach of children. May cause an allergic reaction. Read the label and the safety data sheet before use.
