OSMO Wood Oil 2K Professional (6100 series),

Osmo 2K Wood Oil is a high-quality solvent-free matte 2-component oil based on natural oils for professional use. It produces a microporous and breathable surface with just one coat.
Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, and water. According to German DIN 12720 (formerly 68861-1C). In a dry state, the oil is safe for humans, animals, and plants (resistant to saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).

Osmo 2K Wood Oil is suitable for all parquet and wooden floors (solid wood, planks, strips, stairs, etc.) according to German DIN 18356 and furniture surfaces. Particularly suitable for oily and resinous hardwoods and commercial interiors requiring the use of a solvent-free product.

Preparation Osmo Wood Oil 2K ,

Osmo 2K Wood Oil is not ready to use. Add the hardener shortly before application (mixing ratio 100:12 vol.%) and mix both components well. Do not dilute. Pot life is approximately 3-4 hours. The wood surface must be clean, sanded, dry, and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%). Thoroughly clean old microporous stains. Old paints, varnishes, and lacquers must be completely removed. Always wear a dust mask while sanding. Fill small cracks, larger joints, or holes in wood (Osmo Wood Filler or Osmo Wood Putty 7350). Sand wooden surfaces carefully. Start with coarse sandpaper – final sanding for floors P 120-150, for furniture P 220-240. Remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner before oiling the surface.

The finished surface is influenced by various factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a test treatment is always necessary, especially for unknown surfaces.

Apply Osmo Wood Oil 2K ,

Apply 2K Wood Oil thinly with the Stainless Steel Spatula (see below). For floors with a V-groove, apply the Osmo 2K Wood Oil thinly in small sections using the special 10cm paint roller shown below, without filling the joints. Wait approx. 20-40 minutes for the oil to soak into the wood. Then, rub the oil into the wood and level the surface using a single-disc machine and a white or beige pad (or ideally on furniture, etc., with the small hand pads and a white or beige pad). Allow the surface to dry. Note: If the single-disc machine leaves streaks due to too much product, we recommend turning or replacing the pad. To prevent problems in the can, allow the mixture of oil and hardener to react completely before sealing (approx. 12-16 hours).

NB,

2K Wood Oil can only be used with the hardener developed for it. Residues of the mixed product cannot be used after the pot life has expired and must be disposed of properly. Wood surfaces treated with 2K Wood Oil are easy to maintain. Remove coarse dirt with a broom or a vacuum cleaner.
