Aquamarine Pure Gum Turpentine,
Universally applicable for thinning all solvent-based Aquamarin products and for most solvent-based synthetic paints and lacquers.
Also very suitable for cleaning tools.
Contents 0.5 or 1 ltr or 5 litres.
Pure gum turpentine is extracted from the tapped resin (balsam) of pine trees. The remaining hard resin is rosin, which is used by violinists, among other things, to roughen their bows. Rosin is also used in interior paints. Gum trees can be tapped for approximately 75 years, after which they provide excellent lumber. It is an inexhaustible natural resource, unlike petroleum, from which turpentine and similar solvents are extracted. Due to its high solvent power, gum turpentine is economical to use. The high purity of Portuguese turpentine adds value to the products in which it is used.
