Greenfix is a highly protective, hardening, plant-based furniture oil (based on linseed oil). Greenfix prevents stains, improves wear resistance, and provides optimal protection for wood against moisture and heat. Suitable for all wood types with an oil or wax coating, but also ideal for oiling raw (untreated) wood such as oak, cherry, colonial (teak), beech, pine, and spruce.

 

Greenfix gives the furniture a natural and warm appearance. Because Greenfix is partly based on linseed oil, the untreated wood always darkens slightly after treatment, especially teak. Over time, it is advisable to first clean/degrease the furniture (before applying a new layer of Greenfix) with Woodclean intensive wood cleaner!

 

Greenfix is also suitable as a maintenance oil for furniture with a wax coating. Greenfix can be applied directly over the wax layer, but preferably pre-treat with Woodclean intensive wood cleaner. Greenfix is also suitable as a maintenance product for wooden garden furniture and furniture with a lacquer coating. However, for the maintenance of lacquered wooden furniture, we prefer Elite furniture polish or Meuboline (specifically suitable for lacquered furniture).

Ensure a clean surface. Preferably, first clean the surface to be treated with Woodclean intensive wood cleaner. Apply Greenfix thinly to a clean, dry cloth and rub it into the surface. Allow the treated surface to dry for approximately 5 to 10 minutes and then gently wipe again with a clean, dry cloth. For furniture that still appears somewhat dry, repeat the treatment. Repeat the treatment approximately 2 to 3 times a year. Tip! When using new, untreated furniture, apply at least 2 to 3 thin coats of Greenfix (allow to dry thoroughly in between).

Preferably remove stains immediately with a tissue or cloth. Try to remove persistent stains with a cloth moistened with Woodclean intensive wood cleaner. Then follow up with a little Greenfix on the treated surface. Try to remove stubborn stains or rings in the furniture with a very fine steel wool pad or scouring sponge (possibly in combination with Woodclean). Always follow up with Greenfix afterwards!

Always store cloths or sponges soaked in Greenfix airtight, for example in a metal container, or rinse them very thoroughly with water. This is due to the risk of spontaneous combustion of the linseed oil contained in Greenfix! If untreated wood types are treated with the oil, the treated wood will always become slightly warmer (darker) in color (due to the linseed oil). This is particularly noticeable with tropical hardwood (oateak).
