Osmo Joint Sealant (colorless no. 7350)
Osmo Joint Sealant is a clear polymer dispersion for filling cracks and joints in sanded wooden floors or parquet. Extremely high filling power, short drying times and good sanding properties ensure a quality product. Joint sealant is combined with sanding dust and therefore offers the great advantage that it matches the color of the surface exactly.
Advantages of Osmo Joint Sealant,
- High filling power
- Fast drying
- Good sanding properties
- Slight odor
- Sizes: 1.00 L or 5.00 L
- 1 liter covers approx. 10-15 m².
Application Osmo Joint Sealant,
Before applying, stir well in a bucket or directly on the floor (mix like bread dough) so that any deposits are mixed.
Mix sanding dust, preferably from the same type of wood with grit 80-120, into a thick paste (approx. 15% weight increase due to the addition of sanding dust).
Fill the floor diagonally with a double-bladed stainless steel scraper (see below) while simultaneously pressing the wood filler firmly into the joints. Repeat this process if necessary.
After 30 - 60 minutes, the dried paste can be coarsely sanded (grit P80) and then finely sanded (grit P100 - 120) so that no wood filler remains on the surface of the parquet. In most cases, fine sanding with grit P100 - 120 is sufficient.
A treatment with any oil- and wax-based wood finish from Osmo can then be carried out (click here for the correct products)...
Please note: Because wood filler mixture and application are highly dependent on the type of wood and sanding dust, a trial application is absolutely necessary! Do not fill joints in resilient or loose plank floors!
