Applications
Wood is the main component of your Quick⋅Step® floor. Since the humidity in the room can vary, eg between summer and winter, it is necessary that the floor can live. The floor must be able to expand and contract on all sides. That is why an expansion joint of at least 8 to10 mm is provided around the floor. To finish this joint, we offer a wide range of skirting boards and profiles (more information about this can be found on our website).

-Long-lasting elasticity The main component of your Quick⋅Step® floor is wood. Wood moves (expands and contracts) under the influence of fluctuations in temperature and humidity. The Quick⋅Step® KIT is extremely suitable for dealing with these conditions due to its elasticity.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Apply the sealant in the joints using a spray gun.
Cut the plastic spout diagonally, so that an opening of at least 5mm. diameter arises. Then apply the sealant in the joint and smooth with a putty knife. The joints must be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease.
For joint dimensions of minimum 5 x 5 mm and maximum 20 x 12 mm.
It is recommended that the joint depth is proportional to the joint width. For joints with a width of 5 to 8 mm, a joint depth of 6 to 7 mm is optimal. For joints with a width of 12 to 15 mm, a joint depth of 9 to 10 mm is recommended.
For joints deeper than 12 mm, it is advisable to fill the joint with a foam cord first.
The Quick⋅Step® KIT should preferably be applied at temperatures between + 5 ° C and + 30 ° C.
Excess sealant residues can be removed with a damp cloth before curing.
The Quick⋅Step® kit can be sanded after complete curing and can be painted over after 3 hours. Can even be painted over after 30 minutes in warm conditions.

This kit can be kept for at least 18 months after production date (see batch code), if it is stored unopened in a frost-free place. The ideal storage temperature is between 15 ° C and 25 ° C.
